Alexa Agienko is an emerging artist born in 1989 in Slavutych, Ukraine. With extensive experience in photography and media art, Alexa returned to her childhood passion for traditional painting. Her works can be described as a reimagining of 20th century contemporary art, taking into account modern cultural characteristics, the cult of consumption, and the pursuit of status in society.
One of Alexa's most notable works is a series called "Fake Rothko," which satirically demonstrates these cultural characteristics. Through this series, Alexa challenges the viewer to consider the role of art in a world where consumerism and status-seeking are so prevalent.
Alexa currently lives and works between Kyiv and London, drawing inspiration from both cities and their respective art scenes.
